Bangkok BTS Pink Line SkyTrain
The Bangkok BTS Pink Line, or Northern Bangkok Monorail, is a newly opened cross-city link connecting northern areas of Bangkok. The Pink Line connects with the MRT Purple Line at Nonthaburi Civic Center Station, the SRT Red Line at Lak Si Station, and the BTS Green Line at Wat Pra Sri Mahathat Station.
The BTS Pink Line is designed to accommodate travel demand in northern Bangkok between the Min Buri district and Nonthaburi. The line doesn’t pass the city center and other areas frequently visited by tourists, but you might still find it useful during your visit if you will be going to the northern part of the city to watch Muay Thai fights at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium or to extend your visa at Bangkok Immigration Office.
Despite being managed by the BTS, the Pink Line is called MRT, and it connects with the Purple Line of the original MRT system. However, it is not a fully integrated part of the metro system. Ticketing for this line is separate, and you won't be able to change trains without getting a new ticket, unless you are transferring from the BTS Green Line.

The Pink Line route starts near Nonthaburi Civic Center, where the first station is connected to the MRT Purple Line. The route heads along Tiwanon Road to the Pak Kret section, then turns right and heads along Chaeng Watthana Road, passing Muang Thong Thani, the government complex, and the Lak Si intersection, where it is connected to the SRT Red Line. After crossing Don Muang Tollway, the route heads along Ramindra Road and interchanges with the BTS Green Line at Wat Pra Sri Mahathat station. Then, the route continues along Ramindra Road, crossing Chalong Rat Expressway, and passes Min Buri intersection before reaching terminal station at Ramkhamhaeng-Rom Klao intersection, where in the future passengers will be able to connect to the MRT Orange Line, which is still under construction.

Bangkok BTS Pink Line Fare
Bangkok BTS Pink Line fare depends on the distance and the number of stations traveled and can be from 15 THB to 45 THB for a single journey between the stations on the line.
With Rabbit Card, sometimes you can pay less than the official fare, as they are making various promotions, e.g., buying a package of tickets for as low as 25 THB per ticket for any distance ride.

Bangkok BTS Tickets
There are several types of Bangkok BTS Pink Line tickets that can be used for traveling on this line: the single journey ticket, the Rabbit Card, and the EMV contactless card.
The Rabbit Card simplifies things as it can be topped up and used for traveling not only with the Pink Line SkyTrain but also with the BTS Green Line, the Gold Line, the Yellow Line, and the Chao Phraya Express Boat. The Rabbit Card can be booked online and conveniently picked up at the airport on arrival.

As many travelers get confused, traveling on the Pink Line Skytrain is not covered by the BTS Skytrain One-Day Pass, which is only valid on the BTS Green Line.
